Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Lisa LeStrange, age 44, on October 23, 2026.

Lisa, affectionately known as “Lu-Lu,” “Lu-Bear,” “LL,” and “Lu-Berry,” was born on February 7th 1982 in Toledo, Ohio, to her loving parents, Scott and Patti. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2000, before starting a career in sales.

Lisa was kind, caring, and generous. She was quick to smile, quick to laugh, and quick to love. A true life of the party, Lisa had a way of brightening every room she entered with her smile and distinctive laugh.

One of the things that brought her the greatest joy was her love for animals. As a child, she would sneak stray animals into the house, nurse injured birds to health, and cared for neighborhood dogs. Her love for animals stayed with her throughout her life. You could always count on Lisa to pet every dog she saw and ask the owner for the entire backstory of its life. Her dogs, Daisy, Lily, and Zoey held a particularly special place in her heart. They were her best friends, her companions, and a source of unconditional love and comfort through life’s hardest moments. The love and selflessness she showed for her animals were a beautiful reflection of the loving and caring person she was at heart.

Life can be complicated, and sometimes people carry burdens that others cannot see. Despite the challenges she faced, she continued to brighten the lives of those around her. Lisa was loved more than she may have ever realized. She leaves behind memories and connections that will forever be treasured by her family and friends. The world is a lesser and dimmer place without her in it.

Lisa is survived by her parents, Scott (Pam) LeStrange and Patti Gunn; her siblings, Ryan LeStrange, Samantha (Wes) DeWood, Dustin (Kristina) LeStrange, and Casey (Sarah) LeStrange; her adored nieces and nephews, Olivia, Madden, Dani, Brantley, Carter, Roman, Piper, and Nash; her grandmother (Mary LeStrange); her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; her beloved dog Zoey, and the many many friends she made throughout her life.

Lisa will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Lisa’s life on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617. A prayer service will commence at 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lisa’s memory to Toledo Animal Rescue, an organization that reflects her deep love for animals. Donations may be sent to:
