Linda Lou Snavely

Linda Lou Snavely, born January 5, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on August 27, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio.

Linda graduated from Rogers High School and carried through life a spirit that was distinctly her own. A hippy at heart, she moved through the world with warmth, personality, and a sense that everything was groovy. She loved to entertain, loved to have fun, and yet also kept a private side to herself. Linda was known for her gift of conversation; she would talk your ear off and delighted in telling her stories, sharing laughter and memories with those around her.

She found joy in the things she loved most. Linda was an enthusiastic sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Cleveland Indians, and she loved watching golf on television. She also took special pleasure in giving gifts to her friends and family, a reflection of her generous and thoughtful nature.

At the center of Linda’s life was her husband, Neal Risner. They were friends for almost all of their lives and were a big part of each other’s world. Linda loved Neal deeply. Following Neal’s passing last November, his absence was profoundly felt in her life.

Linda is survived by her step-sons, Jay Risner and Keith Risner; her step-daughters, Jenny Whitaker and Katie Risner; her brother, Michael Snavely; and her nephew, Chad Snavely. She also leaves behind many cherished memories in the hearts of those who knew her, especially among the friends and family to whom she so often gave her time, her stories, and her thoughtful gifts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Risner; her mother, Liz Barret; and her father, Lewis Snavely.

Linda will be remembered for her free spirit, her love of fun, her generous heart, and the unmistakable way she made her presence known. Her memory will remain with all who loved her.

There will be a memorial service at a latter date.
