Linda Lewis-Leichty, a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend, gracefully transitioned from this world on June 6, 2025, in Perrysburg, Ohio, at the age of 83. Born on September 5, 1941, in Boone, North Carolina, Linda embraced life with a warmth and passion that touched everyone she encountered.
Linda’s journey through life was defined by an unparalleled devotion to her family, which she considered her greatest accomplishment. She was the proud mother of four remarkable children: Denise Muszynski, Connie (Bruce) Althouse, Kelly (John) Foster, and the late Doug Lewis. Each of her children carried with them the indelible mark of her love and teachings, a testament to the countless sacrifices she made as a mother.
Throughout her life, Linda captively shared a beautiful talent for singing, often bringing joy through her melodious voice. Whether it was performing on public radio or delighting her children with a personalized rendition of "Happy Birthday," she created a memorable atmosphere filled with love and laughter. Those fortunate enough to witness her sing beneath the stars on Devils Lake will forever cherish those magical moments, where her spirit shone brightly against the night sky.
An individual who balanced her career in customer service with a heartfelt devotion to home and family, Linda was adept at cultivating a loving environment. Her hobbies included baking, cooking, and gardening, where she poured her heart into creating delightful meals and beautiful spaces.
Linda was a kind and sweet soul, universally loved by those who crossed her path. Her infectious smile and compassionate demeanor made her a natural people pleaser, enriching the lives of her family, friends, and the broader community.
Linda's legacy of love and nurturing continues through her grandchildren: Kristin and Ryan, Kyle and Tyler, Kenlyn and Teagan, as well as her six wonderful great-grandchildren who were blessed by her presence. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved brother, Joseph Moody, and her best buddie, Buzz, and dear friend Joyce Nagucki, who stood by her side through thick and thin.
Linda is reunited in spirit with her cherished family members who have gone before her: her loving mother, Hazel Shust (née Egger), her father, Joseph Shust, her brother, Stewart Moody, her sister, Zora Foster, and her beloved son, Doug Lewis. Their love surely welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace.
