Linda L. Bowland

Linda L. Bowland, age 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on October 19, 2026, at Advanced Health Care. She was born in Toledo to James and Joan Webb.

Linda was a graduate of Bowsher High School, Class of 1973. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and creative spirit. She worked various cooking jobs throughout Toledo, with her longest employment being at White Tower on Sylvania Avenue, where she worked as a cook for over 20 years. She also worked at Target on Monroe Street for five years.

Linda had a passion for crafting and creating things with her hands. She especially enjoyed crocheting and sewing, making handmade purses, clothing, hats, and scarves for herself, her family, and her friends. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when masks were in short supply, Linda generously made handmade masks for others, sharing her talents to help those in need.

Her creativity extended to making wreaths and other decorations for holidays and sporting teams. Whether creating something special for a holiday or showing support for a favorite team, Linda enjoyed bringing her ideas to life and sharing them with others.

Linda also enjoyed bowling and was a member of several bowling teams over the years. She was a member of the Mayores Senior Center on South Street, where she enjoyed helping with events and participating in activities. She especially looked forward to the Halloween costume parties, where she could have fun dressing up and showing her playful side.

Linda will be remembered for her creativity, her willingness to lend a helping hand, and the many handmade treasures she created for the people she loved. Her thoughtful gestures, talents, and memories shared with family and friends will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Angel Bowland; father, James Webb; six grandchildren, Alexcis, Austyn, Rodney, Jorden, Jeremiah, and Bryce; and her great-granddaughter, Meilynn.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Webb, and her sister, Joella Webb.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second-floor Community Room at Lakewood Apartments, 2125 Arlington Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May the love she shared, the things she created, and the memories she leaves behind bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
