Lela Mae Thomas, age 79, of Toledo, passed away October 1, 2019. Lela was born January 12, 1940 in Eudora, Arkansas to Charlie and Ellen (Sephas) Thomas. Lela was a member St. Peter Baptist Church. She loved music especially gospel music and James Brown, puzzles, watching basketball, drinking her coffee, being in nature, watching crimes shows and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly Clark, Veronica Clark, Stephanie Clark, Sonya Thomas, Andra Thomas, Rita Thomas, Jennifer (Pastor Bryant) Muhammad, Jeffrey Mitchell, Jermaine Thomas; sister Dorothy Williams; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 am. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kimberly in Lela's memory.
