Lawrence Earl Moore, affectionately known as PJ and Boss Hogg by his family and friends, passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on January 3, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the beloved son of Lawrence Earl Willis and Lontina Moore.
PJ was known for his unforgettable personality, sharp sense of style, and the undeniable charisma that lit up every room. Whether making someone laugh, showing love to those around him, or stepping out dressed to impress, PJ lived boldly and left a lasting impression wherever he went.
He attended Jesup W. Scott High School and later earned his GED, showing his commitment to personal growth. PJ worked for AMAZING Janitorial Services formally Halo Services for his ride or die Auntie Jeaniene for about a proud 40-hours. He was a man who stayed active, stayed fly, and always showed up — and many times, showed out.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Josephine Scott, grandfather Rudolph Moore, and sister Chantay Pratt.
PJ leaves behind a loving and proud legacy. He is survived by his children: Jovontae, Nautica and Alaysia Moore, Derrick Lawson, Jordynn Stewart, Talya Pettaway and bonus daughter Kirstyn Lashuay. His memory will also be carried on by his grandchildren: Kadience Moore, Armod Porter, Jordan Moore, LaJae Armstrong, N'ova Catuy, Ivy Hudson, and D'eire Lawson.
He is also survived by his sisters Erika and Latrina Moore and Cumeara Smith, brothers David (Netasha) Estis and Marquis Willis, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many dear friends and his entire 3100 Scottwood family who will forever remember his laughter, loyalty, vibrant spirit.
PJ’s presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His light, love, legacy and authenticity will live on in everyone who knew him.
