Lawrence E. "Larry" Malaska

Lawrence E. "Larry" Malaska, age 77, of Oregon, OH passed away October 28, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1948 in Toledo to Benedict and Dorothy (Fiander) Malaska. Larry was a 1966 graduate of Woodward High School where he played baseball. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Larry loved music and to read a good book. He enjoyed going to all the nieces and nephews sporting events. Larry liked to travel, walk and going to the casino with his wife, Kathy.

In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his siblings, Judy (John) English and Jackie (Bill) Peterman and nephew, David Malaska. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathy Malaska; brothers, Ron (Cindy) Malaska and Denny (Darlene) Malaska; nieces and nephews, Janice (Bob), Joyce, Mike (Lisa), Corey (Scott), Annette (Tim), Amy (Jim) and Mark (Shelby); great nieces and nephews, Andrea, Jenna, Jake, Daniel, Sarah, Margaret, Avery, Ansley, Braedan, Madeline, Ben, Jonathan, Nicholas, Ben and Alex.

The family will receive guests Monday, November 3, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer- SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 719 Evesham Ave Toledo, OH 43607 where the family will greet guests at 10:00 a.m.
