Laura E. Alley

Laura E. Alley age 83 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the University of Toledo Medical Center with her loving husband David and Fr. David Tscherne by her side. She was born in Toledo on November 23, 1940 to Howard and Laura Debo.

Laura met her soulmate and best friend, David at the age of 18 and they married in the summer of 1959. Laura was a proud, devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her greatest passion was the love she had for her family and taking care of them. They truly were her pride and joy.

She attended Waite High School and graduated in 1958. She later attended Owens Technical College and graduated with a degree in nursing technology to become an RN in 1985. She was active member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church for the last 36 years. She developed deep and rewarding relationships with members and leaders of the church. Laura also found time to travel throughout her life and enjoyed trips to many parts of the country with her family and friends.

Left to cherish Laura's memory is her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, David Alley; children. Christine, Douglas, and Paul; her grandchildren, Bridget and Brynn; brother, Vince Debo; sister, Mary Cox of Lima, Ohio, and her children. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David and her brothers, Robert and Howard Debo.,

Family and friends will be received at Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 9 AM to 10 AM. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Lima Ohio near her son David. Memorial contributions in Laura's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
