Larry Hughes

Larry Hughes, 88, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Saturday May 20th of natural causes. Larry was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1934. He was a resident of Maumee for over 60 years. Larry graduated from Woodward High School, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Larry was an active member of Maumee Athletics for many years. His passion for coaching and mentoring was unmatched. His family has received several heartfelt messages from individuals coached by Larry over the years. We are truly grateful and appreciate your kind words.

Larry is survived by his son Michael Hughes, Tim Kelly and Kitty Kelly. Grandchildren Tyler Hughes and Haley Hughes and TJ Kelly.

A private service will be held by family members for Larry. He will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Maumee Little League, an organization Larry dedicated many years to.
