Keith Duane Cousino, a whose humor was as sharp as his craftsmanship, passed away on January 22,2026, in, Toledo, Ohio, Keith debut on April 10, 1951. A dedicated factory worker for many years, Keith was the kind of employee who not only put in the hours but also brought laughter and resourcefulness with him every day.
Keith's educational journey began at Bedford Educational Academy, but his true classroom unfolded in the warmth of family gatherings, the thrill of fishing at Sterling State Park, and while he was riding his beloved zero-turn lawn mower—the sight of which could reduce him to a giddy child amidst candy. Those memories remain cherished testaments to his lighthearted spirit and passionate approach to even the simplest of pleasures.
Keith’s love for life was only surpassed by his devotion to family. Married to his beloved wife Diane for an impressive 35 years, the two shared countless adventures, with their favorite getaway being the breathtaking Mackinaw Bridge up North. He approached marriage with the same dedication he applied to fixing things around the house, always ready with a solution and a comical quip to ease the burden of a leaky faucet or a stubborn door latch.
One of Keith's fondest moments remains etched in his family's hearts: a fishing trip with his son Nick, niece, and nephew, where imaginations and emotions ran high. Nick wandered off to fish solo, only to sprint back in a humorous panic as he was pursued by a rather audacious snapping turtle—a true testament to the unpredictable excitement in which Keith thrived.
As a proud father to Nickolas (Celeste) and a loving uncle to his cherished nephew and niece Joshua (Carrie), Keith’s spirit will live on in their laughter and the many witty tales they will share. His fur babies Dakota and Rosco will also miss his warm embrace, a testament to Keith's nurturing nature. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews, a treasured extended church family, and friends who could always count on his humor and resourcefulness.
In addition to his family, Keith's interests included building model cars, a testament to his artistry and patience, and visiting the Henry Ford Museum, where the beauty of classical cars drew him in like an artist to a masterpiece. Those who knew Keith will remember him not just as a hard worker but as a funny, sarcastic, down-to-earth individual who had a knack for bringing a smile to a room filled with the most solemn faces.
Keith was preceded in death by his loving parents, Arnold and Elizabeth Cousino, and a long line of siblings: Sonny, Matilda, Beulah, John, Elton, Joe, Sid, Carl, Delbert, Ellen, Ernie, Don, and Tom. His legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication will surely outlive him, reminding us all to find joy in our passions and to laugh in the face of life's little quirks.
Visitation will be held on January 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Northwest Toledo, a place where his family can gather and celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and the occasional snapping turtle tale.
