Kathlene Sue Mothershead

Kathlene "Kathy" Sue Mothershead (Frank), beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma, and cousin, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 23, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio.

Kathy graduated from Libbey High School in 1959 and spent her adult life working at Bunting Bearings. She spent her summers by being near the lake or being on a boat. She loved going fishing and camping with her husband. Kathy enjoyed craft shows and taking rides out to Oak Harbor and Port Clinton where her family was from. Most of all, she loved her family and being ‘Grandma Kathy’.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kim (Mike) Lutheran and Jeff (Heidi) Kennelly; grandchildren, Brittney (Chris) Newsome, Jake Kennelly, Craig Kennelly, Megan (T.J.) Burch, Ethan Kennelly, Rachel (Andrew Newton) Trouten and Matthew Lutheran; great-grandchildren, Jameson Burch, Brody Newsome, Lillyan Newsome, and Xander Burch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Mothershead and parents, Alva and Lester Frank. As Kathy’s wish, she was laid to rest in Union Oak Harbor Cemetery, in Oak Harbor, OH next to her devoted husband and exceptional parents; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her daughter would like to thank her selfless neighbor, Trish, who always checked on mom.
