Kathleen A. MacGregor

Kathleen Ann MacGregor passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026 at the Otterbein Sunset Village in Sylvania. She had just celebrated her 84th birthday in January with family and friends. She was known to all as “Mac”.

Kathleen’s life changed forever on April 10th, 2022, when she unexpectedly lost her beloved husband, Timothy MacGregor after 49 years of marriage. Her happily ever after was gone. She had been battling dementia for a few years at that time, and now she had to navigate a new life with a broken heart. She had one thing left that meant more than anything else to her and that was her Golden Retriever “Sally”.

Mac would go on to live with her daughter, Toni for 3 years until her health no longer allowed and she needed 24 hour care a year ago. We continued celebrating birthdays and holidays together. We got our “Wins” when we could as dementia is a cruel disease.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen Klingbeil and her 2 fathers, Maurice Gesaman and Alvin Klingbeil; brother, Glenn Gesaman; daughters, Sally Anne Franklin and Kimmarie Duran; and son, Phil Thomas.

Kathleen is survived by her brother, Ken (Regina) Klingbeil; her daughters, Tonette “Toni” Thomas and Joni Coci and son, Dane Thomas. From Mac’s crew of six came 15 grandchildren: Joe (Melinda) Zuber, Je’Tone Alexander, Katiann Boose, Dane (Cait) Franklin, Chase Shugarman, Casey Shugarman, Chelsea (Jeff) Greenaker, Tyler Peterson, Jacob Thomas, Martina Ann Thomas, Anna Elisabeth Thomas, Joshua Christian Thomas, Carmen Thomas, Lily Ann Thomas and Katrina Olzak.

Mac’s 13 Great Grandchildren; Lucy Franklin, Daxton Franklin, Dylan Spencer, Kayla Spencer, Trevor Ashford, Sarai “Dreama” Ashford, Killian Zuber, Krew Zuber, Kash Zuber, Owen Greenaker, Olive Greenaker, Kaiden Peterson and Lincoln Peterson.

Mac’s 3 great, great grandchildren: Brandon Barkley Jr, Noah Spencer and Esa’ Ma Spencer.

Special family members: Mac’s extra “Son’s”, Paul Green and OJ Floyd; Mac’s Bestie’s, Kim “Tootie” Williams and Greg Kane. Honorable mention to all extended family and friends and a heart felt gratitude to Katiann, Je’Tone and Dreama (Momma’s Goddaughter) for all the support!

The family will receive guests Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer NW Chapel, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, OH (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
