Kathleen A. Lance

Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Lance,70, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday September 8, 2023 with her family by her side at Regency Hospital. Kathy was born on June 18, 1953 to Alexander "Al" and Mary Ann "Annie" (Csabai) Schiavone.

Kathy worked at Progressive insurance for over 30 years before retiring in 2012. She loved football season especially when the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes won. Kathy was a very active individual. Some of her favorite things to do were spending time with her grandchildren, getting lunch with the girls, watching the Hallmark channel, scrapbooking and keeping in contact with family and friends. In addition, she thoroughly loved and enjoyed the holidays. Her home was always so beautifully decorated for any and every occasion. Family and friends would gather to enjoy her holiday cheer. Kathy also enjoyed motorcycles and was previously in a biker club where she met the love of her life, her husband of 39 years, Thomas Lance.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Tommy (Kayla) Lance; grandchildren Addisen Lance, Ethan Lance, Amelia Lance and Jackson Veler; and sister Janet (Dale) Hartford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Annie and nephew, Pedro Almaguer.


A visitation for Kathleen will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.
