Karen Jankowski

Karen M. Jankowski, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born on October 9, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to Cathrine “Kitty” and Walter P. “J.R.” Horoszewski.

Karen dedicated many years of her life working as a florist at Kroger, where she shared her creativity and passion for beauty with those around her. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, and her family will fondly remember the beautiful Christmas outfits she lovingly created over the years.

She also treasured her winters spent in Florida, where she enjoyed relaxing and watching sunsets along the beach. Above all, Karen’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

 She created countless special and unique traditions that will live on through them, leaving a lasting legacy of love, warmth, and togetherness.

Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her infant grandson, Tyler Grabowski.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted partner, Larry “Mike” Bunch; her loving children, Corrine (Jeff) Gerber, Karey (Brian) Grabowski, and Kenneth Christopher “K.C.” Jankowski; her beloved siblings, Sharon Peterman and Walter “Skip” Horoszewski; and her cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Zoey, Gracelynn, Lucas, Kenley, Dylan, and Blake. Along with nieces and nephews Amber, Tricia, Scott, Nicole, Daniel, and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd.
