Toledo, Ohio

Julie Wodarski, a vibrant free spirit with a profound love for life, history, and the world around her, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born on February 10, 1968, Julie brought joy and passion to all aspects of her life. She was a headstrong woman and very independent. Many times Julie was described a pistol.

A lover of knowledge, Julie’s inquisitive mind drove her to explore a wide array of interests. She was articulate and outspoken, often sharing her thoughts on history and politics with animated enthusiasm. Her belief that knowledge is power was evident in her constant pursuit of learning, showing an insatiable appetite for research and reading.

Julie had a particular fondness for animals, especially dogs. Her heart held a special place for pit bulls, and she advocated for their welfare passionately. This deep compassion extended beyond animals to the people fortunate enough to know her, as she cultivated lasting relationships through her vibrant personality.

Her interests included a noteworthy commitment to music, where she enjoyed singing in bands and even aspired to be a radio host at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. Additionally, Julie was an enthusiastic OSU fan, relishing game days with a fervor that brought more energy to the joy of sports.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sydney Wodarski; her devoted mother, Judith Wodarski; her caring sister, Laura Price; her brother, Robert Wodarski; and her cherished dog, Kiwi. Julie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will always hold precious memories of their time together.

Preceding her in death are her father, James Wodarski; her sister, LeeAnn Wagner; her brothers, Jimmy and Jeff Wodarski; and her dear and close uncle, Stan.

Julie Wodarski's spirit touched the lives of many, her laughter and willingness to engage in meaningful conversations will be profoundly missed. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
