Judy Ann Hochmuth, age 79, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on April 19, 2026, at Perrysburg Mercy Health after battling numerous health issues over the years. She was born May 25, 1946, in Cheboygan, Michigan. Judy was a 1964 graduate of Maumee High School. She worked side by side with her husband, Bruce, for 33 years to build their business, K & L Repair Service, LTD.
Judy was a homebody; she enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, birds and raising monarch butterflies with Bruce. However, it was spending time with family and friends that she loved the most. Judy wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, express her opinion, or disagree with you, but she always loved you unconditionally. To say that she was feisty until her last day would be an understatement. Judy was the undisputed matriarch of an enormous, assumed family. Some were her children, some were adopted, and many just showed up at the doorstep. Everyone was welcomed and loved. For all that knew her, all the problems of the world and life were discussed (or solved) on the back porch.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Susan Bellfy; grandson, Ryan Tack and nephew, William "Billy" Hutchisson. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for over 40 years, Bruce Hochmuth; children, Sherri (Larry) Reed, Steven (Laura) Teal, Tara Teal, Brooke Sterling, James (Leesa) Hochmuth and Thomas Hochmuth; sister, Kim (Fred) Sander; brother, Marty (Debbie) Ream; brothers- and sisters-in-law George (Jane) Hochmuth, Carolyn (Rich) Sacco, Howard (Sue) Hochmuth and many nieces and nephews. She was “Mimi” to 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many grand-dogs that knew her as the “treat lady”.
A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project in Judy's memory.
