Judith "Judy" Decker, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Monroe, Michigan. Born on June 15, 1944, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Judy lived a life defined by her unwavering commitment to her family and her profession.

Judy's educational journey began at Woodward High School, where her passion for helping others blossomed. She later attended Mercy School of Nursing, earning her diploma in nursing. Her career spanned an impressive 43 years, beginning as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital, where she devoted 27 years of her life until the institution closed. She then continued her vital work at Promedica Flower Hospital for an additional 16 years, specializing in the Emergency Room Department, where her skills and dedication undoubtedly made a significant impact on countless lives.

Throughout her life, Judy was known for her smart and energetic personality. She had a deep love for her family, which was evident in the way she prioritized spending quality time with them. Her talents extended beyond her nursing career; she was a skilled handworker and had a special affinity for nurturing her plants. She also cherished traveling, creating lasting memories with her loved ones along the way.

Judy's proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. They brought her immeasurable joy and were a constant source of pride throughout her life. She is survived by her loving children, Louis and Valdetta (Todd) Perrine, and grandchildren, Louis, Ashley, Brittany, Ariel, Jacob, Michael, Joshua, and Jackson.

Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, as well as her son Joseph Decker and her parents, Joseph and Elsie Krystofiak. Her legacy of love, dedication, and hard work will remain cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services held to commemorate her passing. Instead, those who were fortunate enough to know Judith are invited to remember her through their cherished memories and shared stories.
