In Loving Memory of Judith (Judy) Branstutter
Judith “Judy” Branstutter of Toledo, Ohio, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend. She lived her life with faith, kindness, and a selfless love for others.
Judy was a teacher for many years and had a true gift for helping and encouraging others. She cared deeply about the people she taught, and the lessons she shared reached far beyond the classroom.
She was also the family photographer, always making sure to capture the special moments and memories we shared. The many photographs she left behind are now treasured reminders of the love she had for her family.
Judy loved her family deeply, including her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was always there with a kind word, a helping hand, or a prayer. She was a true prayer warrior and would pray for anyone, even those she didn't know. She never spoke badly about others and always made sure people knew how much she loved Jesus.
Judy also shared a very special bond with her “second daughters,” Kimberly Benson and Rachel Dunseth. Though they were not her daughters by birth, she loved them as her own and welcomed them into her heart and family. The love, guidance, encouragement, and memories they shared with Judy were deeply meaningful, and their bond was a beautiful reflection of the way Judy loved so generously and unconditionally. In addition to her "second daughters" Judy considered many others as her "adoptive family" from additional kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and anyone else she met, she never met a stranger.
Her faith was at the center of her life. She loved God and served Him by loving and caring for the people around her. We find comfort knowing that Judy is now resting in the arms of her Savior.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Alicia Kruse; son-in-law, Jered Kruse; grandchildren, Tristin, Riley, and Sarah Kruse; great-grandson, Colson Kruse; her beloved second daughters, Kimberly Benson and Rachel Dunseth; siblings, Phillip Medley, Nonie Medley, and Daniel Medley; and her many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends and family will be received at Heritage Church, 3520 Strayer Rd, Maumee, Ohio 43537 on Saturday, September 12, 2026 for a funeral service at 1:00 pm, where Judy's life will be celebrated.
Judy leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and cherished memories. Her photographs, lessons, prayers, and kindness will live on in all those she touched.
We will miss her more than words can say, but we are thankful for the love she gave us and the life she shared with us.
Until we see you again, Judy. We love you and will treasure you forever.
