Judith Louise Becker, lovingly known as Judy, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born on July 23, 1930, in Archbold, Ohio, Judy was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Judy dedicated her life as a Registered Nurse, serving at Wauseon Hospital and various doctor's offices and facilities. Her commitment to healthcare was matched only by her compassion for others, particularly children in need. She actively supported the organization St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House and Connecting Kids to Meals, a testament to her deep concern for alleviating child hunger in her community.
Throughout her life, Judy cultivated a love for quilting, reading, shopping, and cooking. These hobbies brought her immense joy and were a source of connection with her family, whom she treasured. Family gatherings at Devil’s Lake and winter trips to Florida were highlights of her life, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Judy is survived by her four children, Christine Spetka, John Becker, Melinda Noward, and Heidi Neto; and her stepchildren, George Becker III, Bonnie Rashley, and Connie Gleckler. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love. Additionally, Judy is survived by her sister, Linda Tillman, and her nephews, Craig and Eric Fankhauser. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mabel (Bankey) Miller, and her husband, George W. Becker Jr.
A memorial gathering to honor Judy will take place on July 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a memorial service at 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
