Joseph A. Bryan, age 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away April 26, 2024, at Ebeid Hospice. Joe was born August 8, 1944, in Plant City, Florida, to the late Alan and Anne Bolyki-Bryan-Toth.
Joe was raised in the old polish neighborhood by his step father, Joseph Toth, and mother, where he graduated from Woodward and enlisted in the Marines, where he served in Vietnam. After returning home from the military, he worked at Teledyne and Ford Motor Company. Joe then worked at Roadway, as a dock worker, for 31 years before he retired.
Joe lived a very simple and independent life. He was raised Catholic and had attended Saints Adalbert and Hedwig Parish. He enjoyed hanging out with his neighbor of over 50 years, Mert, and was an avid deer hunter.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Trina (Roger) Kern; step-brother, Joe (Pat) Toth of Anaheim, California; ex-wife, Lynn Kline; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Joy.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Following services, Joe will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in memory of Angie.
