Jose Mateo Diego

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose M. Diego, age 58, of Toledo, Ohio, who passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, with his beloved children at his side.

Born on November 16, 1967 in Guatemala. Jose grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. He’s worked hard all his life and dedicated most of his work to the Pinnacle of Maumee for many years doing what he loves.

Beyond his career he was known for his love of cooking, especially grilling for the family, growing flowers and veggies in his garden, and spending time with all of his beloved pets.

Jose was catholic and a devoted follower of Christ who spent his days caring for others. He loved to listen to music, watch sports and movies, and crack jokes. His laugh was infectious and his smile was pure sunshine.

He is survived by his children; Anna M. Diego, Anthony T. Diego, Rigo M. Diego and grandchild; Jayden M. Eredics, and many other loved ones and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private services with the family will take place. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
