John Allen Knaggs, age 68, of Toledo, OH was entrusted to the grace of God on Saturday, June 28, 2025. He was born May 22, 1957 in Toledo, OH to Jack and June (Russell) Knaggs.
As a young man he was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America. He stayed at Camp Miakonda in Toledo, OH, Camp Bogstone in Cadillac, MI, and Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. He enjoyed riding his bike all over the city and even to Cedar Point.
John graduated from Whitmer High School in 1975. He was on the wresting team and also enrolled in the two year electronics vocational program. After working as an electronics technician for a variety of local audio visual businesses, he would secure the position of electrical engineer at RSW. He retired from RSW in 2011.
While in high school, he would meet the love of his life, Cynthia Knab, and they were married shortly after graduation in 1976. Together they would have two children, Tiffany and Nicolai Knaggs. They remained married until his death in 2025.
He was interested in how things worked and consumed by electrical and mechanical theory. He loved reading about the history of electronics and drawing schematics. John was an avid audiophile. He constantly sought after new sounds and modified every piece of equipment he owned. He even built his own amplifier and fm tuner from scratch.
He approached life as an adventure. He was a loyal friend and most people will remember him for his sense of humor, passion for grilling, love of dogs, obsession with electronics, and fascination with science fiction.
