John M. Jackson

John M. Jackson, age 86, of Waterville, OH, formerly of Wauseon, OH, passed away January 13, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. He was born November 11, 1937 in Sidney, OH to Ova and Merle (Barrett) Jackson. John graduated from Chesterfield High School in 1955 and then went on to serve in the U.S Army. He worked for Haughton Elevator/Schindler Millar as a Mechanical Engineer for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. John enjoyed restoring antique tractors and attending many tractor shows.

In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann Louise Richley. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Jackson; sons, John (Denise) Jackson and Jim Jackson; grandchildren, Ben (Ali Fisher) Jackson and Mindi (Aaron) McGurk; great-grandchildren, Izzy Jackson, Ellie McGurk and James McGurk.

The family will receive guests, Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Military will perform honors at 6:00 p.m.
