Throughout his career, John was known as a jack of all trades. He found great fulfillment working for Lucas County, where he made significant contributions to the water treatment facilities. In addition, he proudly owned and operated Clarks Landing in Luna Pier as well as All American Tub Masters. Even after retirement, John's industrious spirit remained alive as he took on a security role at the Huntington Center, finding joy in remaining active and engaged within his community.

His personality was warm and welcoming; he was known for his kindness and generosity. John loved cooking for crowds and cherished the company of others, relishing every opportunity to connect and share joy. While he maintained a fun-loving spirit in his youth, he grew to appreciate the comfort of routine as he aged, becoming known for his steadfast nature.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Clark, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years of marriage. John was a devoted stepfather to three children, a proud grandfather to fifteen grandchildren, and a doting great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces, Michelle Fisher and Beth Mitchell, his nephew, Andrew Geisel, and a host of loving extended family and friends who will miss his warmth and companionship dearly.
