John "Johnny" Allen Surgeson Sr., age 47, passed away on July 28, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic.
Johnny was a certified plumber who dedicated many years of service to Stickels Plumbing Company. He was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering dedication, and willingness to help others. His commitment to his craft earned him the respect of coworkers, friends, and customers alike.
Born with a larger-than-life personality, Johnny had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome. He enjoyed golfing, attending car shows, and was known as a heck of a pool player. Music was another great passion in his life. As a DJ for several years, Johnny shared his love of music with many people, often appreciating songs and artists that seemed ahead of their time.
Johnny attended Bedford High School, where he was a member of the golf team, and graduated with the Class of 1999.
Above all else, Johnny cherished his family. The time he spent with those he loved brought him the greatest joy and meant more to him than anything else.
He leaves behind his beloved soulmate, Amanda "Mandy" Krempa; his only son, John "Johnny" Allen Surgeson Jr.; his loving father, David "Dave" Surgeson Sr.; and his brothers, Joseph "Joe" Adamski and David "Dave" Surgeson Jr.
Johnny was preceded in death by his loving mother, Janina "Jean" Surgeson, and his beloved nephew, Joseph "Joey" Adamski Jr.
Though John's time on earth was far too short, his laughter, kindness, love of family, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
