Joan Edith Yousey Robertson

Joan Edith Yousey Robertson, age 90, went to be with her Lord on May 12, 2025. She lovingly served her Lord as she served others, always caring and extending hospitality to all. She was a prayer warrior and treasured for kind ways of walking with others in difficult times.

She married Herbert “Robbie” Robertson on June 27, 1970 and together they lived out hospitality to all in their “house by the side of the road and being a friend to man.” They enjoyed traveling to many countries, hosted foreign exchange students and later ran their own business.

Joan was a dietitian for many years and last served at Medical College of Ohio (now UTMC). She and her husband, Robbie, also established a dietetic consulting business for nursing homes and hospitals called Basic Fore, Inc., where she served as administrator.

She faithfully cared for her husband at home through the years as his MS progressed until his passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Robertson, and two brothers, (David and Norman Yousey), and one sister (Violet Kennel). She is survived by a brother, Herbert (Edith) Yousey, and sisters Sarah (Dale) Lyndaker, Florence (Gene) Zoll and Eva (Gary) Williams, sisters-in-law Marie Yousey and Betty Yousey, brother-in-law Mark Kennel and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held May 25th, 2 p.m. at Toledo Mennonite Church, 5501 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, OH 43615
