Jerry Lee Cole, age 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on August 20, 2025, at St. Anne’s Mercy Hospital. He was born on September 28, 1948, in Batesville, Mississippi, to John and Ernestine (Scott) Cole.

A dedicated professional, Jerry spent over 33 years working at the Ford Motor Company in Monroe, Michigan. His passions included being a devoted Ohio State fan and enthusiastically following the NFL, always rooting for the Super Bowl champions each year. Jerry especially enjoyed watching Family Feud, cooking, and taking care of his riding lawn mower in the vibrant springtime.

Jerry will be fondly remembered for his delicious down-home meals, particularly his famous fried walleye fish and his unique Mulligan’s stew. His family was at the center of his life, and he had a special way of expressing affection by playfully referring to his children and grandchildren with endearing nicknames such as "big dummy," "nincompoop," and "despicable," and everyone knew who he called "baby girl".

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Angela Cole; his children Roslyn Colwell, Gerald Cole, Lelean Cole, and Tiffany Cole; his stepdaughter Angelique Kelly; his sister Linda Flowers; his brother and sister-in-law Robert (Anna) Cole; and his sister and brother-in-law, Joan (Lawrence) Reed. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Maggie Cole. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, located at 4150 Laskey Rd. Toledo.

Jerry Lee Cole will be remembered for his love of family, his culinary skills, and his joyful spirit. He touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly.
