Jennifer Lynn

Jennifer Lynn Denman, age 53, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born in Toledo on September 2, 1972, she was the beloved daughter of James and Kay (Hunt) Buchanan.

Jennifer was a beautiful, intelligent and feisty young lady. She excelled as a star athlete during her junior high and high school years and later in golf. Academically accomplished, she was an honor roll student throughout high school and college. Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education from the University of Toledo.

Her passion for teaching led her to dedicate ten years of her life to educating high school students in Toledo, with a special focus on children with disabilities. In addition to her teaching career, she also contributed to the family business as a property manager.

Jennifer deeply loved her two children, Ellie and Evan Siwa. She also cherished her lifelong love for her dogs and cats. We have fond memories of her passion for life and infectious personality in her years with us.

She shared a special bond with her Grandma Jan and Poppy Bill throughout her life

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bill and Janet Hunt, Phyllis and Buck Buchanan, as well as her uncle Ed Buchanan and cousin Nick Buchanan. Jennifer is survived by her parents Kay and Jim Buchanan; her children Ellie and Evan Siwa; sister, Janet (Ray) Galecki; her brother, Matt (Renee) Buchanan; her uncle John (Karen) Hunt; her aunt Becky Buchanan; and many nieces and nephews.

Jennifer will be lovingly remembered for her zest for life and great personality. She went home to her Lord and Savior reuniting with her beloved grandparents Poppy Bill and Grandma Jan.

A private family service has been planned. Rest in peace, Jennifer. You will be forever loved and missed.
