Jennifer Lee Fisher (55), of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by those closest to her just after 12pm on Friday, January 26, 2024. Jennifer fought a long and exhausting battle with several debilitating illnesses. God had finally called her home. Her soul may now rest, pain free and she is reunited with her beloved mother, Pat, at last.
Born Jennifer Lee Dugan on September 23, 1968 to Jim and Pat Dugan in Sylvania, OH. Jennifer was a gorgeous, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, towhead, and the youngest of 6 children, making her the baby of the family. Jennifer spent most of her life on a beach, on a boat, or playing cards, her favorite pastime. For her, family was everything and something she always held dear to her precious heart.
Jennifer graduated from Sylvania Southview High School and went on to attend Owens Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Applied Business. In 1989, at the age of 20, Jennifer met David Francis Fisher, and fell in love. The two married on April 23, 1993, had children soon after, and remained in love for over 30 years. With her loving husband and two beautiful daughters, Jennifer enjoyed life just a handful of houses away from her in-laws, Tom and Karen Fisher.
When she graced us with her life on Earth, she was most certainly alive. Her bellowing laugh and captivating smile could illuminate even the darkest room. Jennifer loved all things humorous and was never too old for a raunchy joke. She loved to laugh and she found happiness in the simple things in life. Jennifer had taste in music and entertainment that will influence generations to come. She had an unrelenting love of all things 60s and 70s. Disco, Motown, Diana Ross, Eric Clapton, John Travolta, Elton John. The list goes on and on. The cool, funny mom to all her children's friends. The fun aunt to her nieces and nephews. The silly sister to her siblings. The unconditionally loving and supportive mother. The beautiful and loving wife. What an irreparable hole she has left in our hearts forever.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, David, daughters, Patty and Kelly, grandson, Axel, sisters Jane, Judy, and Julie, brother, John, mother-in-law, Karen, sister-in-law, Cheri, nieces, Chelsey, Lindsay, Katelyn, and Lyla, nephews, Johnny, Jimi, Jack, Colin, and Leo. Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (Northwest chapel), located 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623, on Sunday, March 10, with calling hours at 12pm and service at 1pm. There will be a luncheon to immediately follow in the O'Toole room at The Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. If you would like to donate in her memory, we ask that you give to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and/or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
