Jeffery Ward

On the evening of April 6, 2024 Jeffery Ward passed away peacefully after an eleven year battle with cancer; while being attended by family and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jeffery was 63 years old.

Jeff was known for his great sense of humor and ability to make everyone around him smile. Born on March 24 1961, Jeff grew up in a close community of friends and family where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for fixing anything. Throughout his career in construction, Jeff's skillful hands and meticulous attention to detail left a lasting imprint on every project he touched. Outside of work, Jeff's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Jeff's favorite times were spending holidays with family and seeing everyone together at his sister Lesa's home. Jeff was always a pillar of strength and support for his family, always willing to lend a helping hand or quick to offer a joke to anyone who was feeling down.

Jeff is survived by his children Matthew (Ashley), Kyle (Rebecca), Hayley (Tyler), grandchildren Tyler Jr., Oliver, Alaia, and Julia, brother Randy, and many nieces and nephews. Jeff's legacy of hard work, love, and levity will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Jeff was proceeded in death by his Mother Viola, Father Thomas, sisters Joyce, Sharon, Lesa, and brothers Wayne and Robert.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Jeff's honor. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and admired by many.

A memorial visitation will be on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614
