Jean N. Fleck, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 85 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born on October 31, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, Jean is fondly remembered for her lively spirit, artistic nature, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Jean dedicated ten years of her life working as a factory worker at Propak Industry, showcasing her remarkable work ethic and resilience. An alumna of Waite High School, she furthered her education by obtaining her GED, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth.

Jean's creativity was evident in all aspects of her life. She embraced arts and crafts, often involving her children and grandchildren in her projects. Memorable moments were spent making candy cakes for birthdays and crafting elaborate Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Her artistic flair extended beyond crafts; she was a die-hard Ohio State University fan who loved puzzles and football, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere in her home.

Family was of utmost importance to Jean. She took great pride in gathering her loved ones for holidays, ensuring that the Christmas tree adorned her home year-round. Her legendary fried chicken and other culinary delights will be remembered and missed at family gatherings. Her strength of character, loving nature, and willingness to speak her mind set her apart as a strong-willed individual who inspired those around her.

Jean is survived by her devoted sons, Geno Fleck and his wife, Dawn; Tobi Fleck and daughter Shawn Fleck; her beloved grandchildren, Tommy Fleck and his wife, April; Samantha Morrissey and her husband, Tim; Bridgette Steinhoff; Kenneth Hill; Courtney Fleck and her fiancé, Anthony Tippett; and Kristeen Pioch and her husband, JORDAN. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, her dogs; Alice and Buckeye as well as numerous extended friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Wall; her mother, Helen Gast; her sister, Linda M. Von Deylen; her brother-in-law, James H. Von Deylen her brother, Jerry W. Wall; her daughter-in-law, Gina Myers; and her great-grandson, Elijah E. Morrissey.

A visitation will be held on May 6, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623.

Jean N. Fleck's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of creativity, love, and commitment to family serves as an everlasting reminder of the impact she had on those around her.
