In Loving Memory of Jason M Sobb

Jason Matthew Sobb passed away on June 11, 2026. He was 47 years old. Jason fought a long and courageous battle against the disease of alcoholism, but he was so much more than his illness. Despite the demons he fought, Jason had a generous heart, a brilliant mind, and a deep love for animals.

Jason was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 10, 1979, to David J. Sobb and Hollis Roadarmel Sobb. Jason attended Ladyfield School and St Francis DeSales HS graduating with honors. He went on to attend the University of Colorado Boulder where he majored in Business Management and Bachelor of Science Journalism. Upon graduating Jason’s only goal was to achieve wealth, and he pursued the trappings of success with a passion by charting music, small business ownership, and his leadership at FedEx Ground as a terminal manager. When he wasn’t chasing the next dream, Jason enjoyed walking at the metro parks and the Toledo Botanical Gardens, visiting the Humane Society, spending time at the gym and watching the Fast and Furous films. He always enjoyed a good political conversation and was very patriotic.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents Matthew and Marge Sobb, Donald and Barbara Roadarmel as well as his uncle, John Roadarmel and aunt, Barbara Roadarmel. He is survived by his parents Hollis M Sobb and David (Letty) Sobb, brother Jonathan (Tiffany) Sobb, one nephew and two nieces, sister Jenna Sobb and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very deeply. He leaves behind his cat, Missy.

Jason touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor and sarcasm all the way to the end. His family truly loved Jason and Jason loved his family. He fiercely fought his battle with substance abuse with an end result of gone way too soon.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Lucas County DART Unit @ Lucus County Sheriff DART 1622 Spielbusch Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43604. The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to Officer Brandon Foster from The LC DART Team.
