James Anthony Mossing

James Anthony Mossing age 70, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. Jim was born in Toledo to Donald J. and Patricia A. (Nonnenmacher) Mossing.

Jim was a 1973 graduate of St. Frances de Sales High School. He was the owner and president of SMB Construction Company, Inc for 47 years. From 1973-1979, he was employed as a Journeyman Bricklayer for J. Mossing & Sons Inc. (a company owned by his father and uncle). He was a Board Member for The City of Toledo, Toledo Fire Museum and BBB Foundation. He had a good heart and was very generous. Jim enjoyed traveling, reading, music and spending time with his family. Jim was a U of M and Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Surviving is his dedicated and loving wife, Debbie Mossing; children, Jaime Mossing, Nancy Mossing, Tracy Mossing and step daughter, Tiffany Daniel; siblings, Judith Burlew, Janine Vielhaber, Jennifer (Rick) Johnson, Jeff (Marcia) Mossing, and Jeremy Mossing; grandchildren, Corey, Victor, Addison, Tyler and Camden and 1 great-granddaughter, Gia.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Patricia A. Mossing; brother, Jay Mossing and brother in-law, Vincent Vielhaber.

The family extends it’s heartful gratitude to the staff of Kingston Residence of Perrysburg for their compassionate care, kindness and support.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel - Heatherdowns) on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
