James Francis Irving, Jr., age 77, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016. He was born on June 29, 1938 to James and Gladys (Rider) Irving, Sr. in Toledo. He married his lifelong love of 56 years, Anna Sue (Fannin) Irving and together they have three children, James (Barbara) Irving, III, Edward Irving and Katina (Christopher) Mortemore. James lived his life for his family. He was a very hard working man who could build anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed spending summers in Angola, Indiana and working on his farm in Hillsdale, Michigan.
The greatest joy in his life came from his grandchildren; Jacob and Preston Mortemore and James IV and Jennifer Irving. He was always so proud of them and all of their accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joseph and Larry Irving, Nellie Weiner, Alberta Brandon and Betty Czerwicz.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; children; grandchildren; brothers in law, Forest Fannin and Dr. Kerby (Annette) Fannin; sisters in law, Judy (Mike) Harris and Linda Fannin; many precious nieces, nephews, great-nieces; great-nephews and special friend and caregiver, Dawn Hardy. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Kerby Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
