Homer O. "Humpy" Navarre, Jr, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on November 10, 1951 to Homer Sr. and Josephine (Surprise) Navarre in Toledo. Humpy was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a big fan of doo-wop music and loved to play the drums. Humpy was the former drummer of Del Vikings, The Knobs, Flyte 66 and currently The Rocket Tones; known as "Johnny Ravioli". He was an avid woodworker, could build anything, enjoyed racing and building model cars. Humpy was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Warren "Chipper" Navarre; and sister, Brenda Navarre. Humpy is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Paulla Navarre; daughters, Lisa (Larone) Henderson, Tina Navarre, and Amy Aldaco; step-children, Johnathan (Tara) Winger and Beth (Richard) Ruby; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth E. Navarre; sister, Susan (Willy) Lopez; aunt, Rosie Navarre; and many other family members and dear friends.
Friends and Family are invited to Celebrate Humpy's life at the American Legion Joseph W. Deihn Post #468, 5580 Centennial Rd., Sylvania, OH 43560 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Newcomer – Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
