Hilda Violet "Vi" Gilchrist, age 87, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2014. She was born on February 5, 1927 in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Fraser (Wendy) Gilchrist and Darlene Poirier; sister, Alice; grandchildren, Jamie (John) Drenner, C.J. Kaczorowski; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Hailey, Jennifer and Tiffany; a great-granddaughter on the way and many extended family members and friends. Vi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas and brothers.
Vi was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was always the most important thing to her and she loved family get-togethers. Vi will be greatly missed by her family and they truly cherished the time they got to spend with her.
The family requests memorial contributions in Vi's name be made to: ProMedica Ebeid Hospice.
