Harold “Rickey” Glover Sr., a beloved member of the Toledo community, was born on February 13, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. Rickey dedicated an impressive 39 years to his career at Daimler Chrysler, where he was a friend to many. Known for his vibrant personality and impeccable style, he was often seen dressed to the nines, looking fly and ready to face the day. He was a Jack of all Trades.

He attended Gunckel Elementary and was a proud graduate of Libbey High School, class of 1970, and remained actively engaged in his interests. Rickey enjoyed a game of pool with his club “Senior Citizen Boyz Club”, visiting casinos, and indulging in scratch-off tickets, activities that brought him joy and camaraderie with friends and family alike.

Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Noleda Glover; sisters, Deborah Rockett and Linda Shepherd; and brothers, Ronald Glover and Donald Glover. The loss of his warm spirit will be felt deeply by all who knew him.

Rickey leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Richelle (Henry) Woods, of Marietta, Georgia; sons, Harold “Rick” Glover Jr., Jason (Annastajia) Kyser Sr, of Toledo, Ohio. and his fiancée, Lillie Pulley; grandchildren, JaShontae Stephens, Jeffrey (Tifane) Edwards II, Dashawn Glover, Jayona Kyser, Jason Kyser Jr., and Annalysia Roberts; and great-grandchildren, Reginald Stephens, Kameron Edwards, Mari Glover, Harlem Stephens, and Deandre Webb. He is also survived by his brothers, Timothy Glover, Darryl (Karen) Glover, of Los Angeles, California and half Brother Fredrick Glover, of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Varetta Glover, Yvonne Glover, Carolyn Glover, and Carla Glover all of Toledo, Ohio and half sisters, Shirley Hogue, Sandra Martin, and Gladys Garland, all of Toledo, Ohio; Special Cousin, Keith Keller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation services to honor Rickey's life will be held on May 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. The funeral service will take place the following day, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Greater St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, located at 416 Belmont Ave, Toledo, OH 43604.
