Greg Reihing

April 25, 1951 — May 7, 2025

Greg Reihing, born on April 25, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, was promoted to heaven on May 7, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication not only to his family but to the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.

Greg dedicated nearly 30 years of his life as a bus driver for the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) and spent 13 years at Advance Auto Transport, delivering trucks across the United States. His passion for work was matched by his commitment to his faith, as he served devotedly in various capacities at First Alliance Church. Greg's experiences were enriched by his education, having attended Saint Jude grade school and Rogers High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with curiosity and adventure. His love for flying led him to obtain a sport pilot license in Sebring, Florida. Working at Advance Auto Transport allowed him to explore over 1,327 cities through more than 500 flights.

Known for his infectious sense of humor, Greg was a storyteller at heart, always ready to share a tale from his colorful life. His compassion shone brightly in all his interactions, underpinned by a strong faith and an abiding love for the Lord. His ability to connect with others and bring joy into their lives was one of his most treasured traits.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Reihing, and their daughters Rachel Wolfe and her husband David, Rebecca Round and her husband Chris, Katie Smith and her husband Josh, and Jenny Graffius and her husband Bill, Sara Cobau and her husband Dan. Greg was proud to be the grandfather of Ethan, Kevin, Alex, Kylie, Billy, Kelsey, Zac, Noah, Lincoln, Ace, and Ellie. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He will be greatly missed by his brother Nick and his sister-in-law Bonnie. As well as his sisters Mary Ellen and her husband Paul, and Lisa Staats and her husband Larry. As well as his other brother Danny Reihing. Greg's family included a far-reaching circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and a cherished church family, all of whom felt his love and support.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth A. Reihing, and his mother, Ellen Reihing, his father-in-law Joe and wife Sandie Dusa as well as his stepfather Ben Slomski and several others.

Greg’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memories will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 at First Alliance Church 2201 Monroe St, Toledo, OH 43604 at 4pm.
