Gordan Raschke

Gordan Raschke, a good man and a great friend to many, passed away on February 11, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, the same city where he was born on August 4, 1955.

Gordan wasn’t the loudest person in the room, but he didn’t need to be. He had a way of slipping in the perfect one-liner at just the right moment, catching you off guard and making everyone laugh. His humor was simple, sharp, and very much his own.

He grew up in Toledo and graduated from Start High School in 1974. Over the years, the friendships he built became his family. Gordan was preceded in death by his parents, Rudi and Susan Raschke, as well as his brother and sister. Though he was the last of his immediate family, he was never short on people who cared deeply about him.

Gordan loved the simple things. He had a special place in his heart for Hocking Hills. He enjoyed weekends at the lake with friends, good company, easy conversation, and plenty of laughs. And if NASCAR was on, you could bet he was watching. He loved the speed, the competition, and the excitement of it all.

On February 26, 2026, friends are invited to gather and remember Gordan. Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Afterward, a Celebration of Life will continue at OB’s Tavern from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, just the way Gordan would’ve liked it: relaxed, full of stories, and surrounded by friends.

As we say goodbye, let’s remember the quiet moments, the lake weekends, the races, and the laughs. Gordan may have been reserved, but the memories he leaves behind are anything but small. He’ll be missed, remembered, and talked about often, probably with a well-timed one-liner in his honor. May his spirit soar in the laughter that continues in his memory, and may his free spirit find its peace among the stars.
