Glenn Edward Houck Sr. of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 3, 1954, in Toledo, Glenn was a beloved figure in his community and a dedicated family man.
Glenn's professional journey saw him rise to the position of general manager for Rally’s Inc., where he left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the business. His work ethic, coupled with his leadership skills, earned him respect and admiration within the industry.
In his personal life, Glenn was passionate about trains and classic cars, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He cherished family gatherings and the time spent with loved ones, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to those around him.
Glenn was married to his beloved wife, Sheryl Houck, who predeceased him in December 2012. Together, they raised a loving family. Glenn's proudest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life on April 25, 1975, a day that marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. He is survived by his children: Glenn (Stephanie) Houck Jr., Sherri (fiancée, Dan Dwyer) Kay, Brian (Amy Bocook) Houck, and Serena (Jacob) Castle. His grandchildren—Korrin, Carter, Thomas, and Glenn III “Trey”—were a source of immense joy for him.
He is also survived by his mother, Marilyn Houck, his sisters, Glenda (Bill) Burdue and Gwen (Mark) Hruska, who will always hold his memory dear.
Glenn is preceded in death by his father, Charles Houck, and his son, James Houck.

A memorial gathering and service in celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on August 9, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. The memorial gathering will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM. Memorial donations in Glenn’s name may go to his family for education scholarships to his grandchildren at https://venmo.com/u/ghouckmemorialfund
