Gilbert Loredo II, affectionately known as "Buddy," was born on July 20, 1981, in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away on September 10, 2025, in the same city that he called home. Gilbert's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

A dedicated employee of Local 1090, Gilbert labored as a Millwright for many years. He completed his apprenticeship to become a Journeyman Millwright, showcasing not only his skill but also his commitment to hard work. His career reflected his personality – a vibrant, passionate individual who brought his boisterous and energetic spirit to everything he did. He was the life of the party, with a knack for making those around him laugh and feel at ease. His charisma drew people together, and his ability to protect and support his loved ones made him a cherished figure in their lives.

Gilbert held his Catholic faith and Mexican heritage close to his heart, guiding him through life with values that resonated deeply within him. Family was paramount in his world, and his pride and joy lay in his children: Gabriella, Maribel, Gracie, Yesenia, and Evita. Beyond his profession and faith, it was the love of his life, Miranda, and their beautiful family that occupied the place of his proudest accomplishments.

An avid sports enthusiast, Gilbert enjoyed watching the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions. He had a passion for fashion, often expressing himself through his love for stylish shoes. His culinary skills shone brightly in the kitchen, where he delighted in cooking for family and friends. Gilbert's beloved dogs, Otra and Tega, enriched his life further, providing companionship and joy.

He is survived by Miranda, and his treasured children, Gabriella, Maribel, Gracie, Yesenia, and Evita as well as his Goddaughters; Alexandria and Nadia. His father, Gilbert Ochoa, his adopted father, Dale Boerio, and his siblings, Christopher, Deonne (Don), Jennifer, Francina, Danessa, Danniel (Lindsey), Jeremiah Sr. (Trina),  Josh, and Jimmy, also mourn the loss of such a vibrant presence. Additionally, Gilbert is remembered fondly by his brother-in-law, Robert Roth, and his grandfather, Harlin Goodell Sr., along with a host of extended family and friends whose lives he touched.

Gilbert's journey includes the profound sorrow of losing many loved ones, including his mother, Jodi Goodell, brother, DeMarco Loredo, sister, Lorissa Roth, and grandparents, Alex and Mary Loredo. Each of these individuals will forever be a part of his story, echoing through the hearts of those who knew him.
