Georgia Sue Stevens

Georgia Sue Stevens, born on June 23, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026. She lived a life defined by love, adventure, and unwavering devotion to her family.

During her high school years, Sue met Roland Stevens, who would years later become the love of her life and her greatest companion. Together, they danced through life and built a beautiful marriage that lasted 47 years and served as a shining example of genuine love, friendship, and happiness. They shared an adventurous spirit that they passed down to their children and grandchildren. Many weekends were spent on spontaneous road trips, never knowing exactly where they would end up—only that they would enjoy every mile together. After retiring, Sue and Roland spent eight wonderful years traveling the country in their RV, creating treasured memories along the way. They proudly served in leadership roles with The Good Sam Club Chapter 15 Camping Club and were lifetime members.

Above all, Sue cherished her family. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother brought her the greatest joy of her life. She was a steady source of love, strength, and encouragement, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. Though resilient and remarkably capable, she carried herself with a gentle spirit and a kind heart that touched everyone she met.

Sue was incredibly resourceful and self-sufficient. Taught by her father, George, she became an unofficial electrician and mechanic, never shying away from fixing whatever needed attention. She could even confidently drive the family’s RV, a talent that reflected both her independence and adventurous nature.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Carol Miller; sisters, Beverly Gosbeth and Judy Pitchford; beloved canine companion, Jacob.

Georgia will be greatly missed by the love of her life, husband of 47 years, Roland Stevens; children, Terrie Lynn Anello and husband, David, Robert Lee Rose and wife, Sandra; Kimberly Sue Dobson and husband, Michael, Gregory Allen Rose; step-daughters, Rita Marie Stevens and husband, Nate Sturm, Stacy Ann Russell and husband, Steven, Melissa Ray Stevens and fiancé, Brent Knab; twin brother, George Thomas Miller; sister, Nancy Englehart; grandchildren, Arthur, Jason, Amy, Derek, Evan, Brittany, Jake, Sam, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather to honor and celebrate Georgia's life on Saturday, August 29, 2026 with Visitation from 1:00-3:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614
