Gary Lee Hopkinson, Sr.

Gary Lee Hopkinson, Sr. age 83, of Walbridge, OH passed away March 23, 2026 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1943 in Carey, OH to Harry and Wilma (Gossard) Hopkinson. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from February, 1960, retiring as a Tech Sergeant in February, 1980. During the Vietnam War he served as a Crew Chief. He was employed with Rexam for more than 29.5 years as a Production Manager.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carolyn Hopkinson; children, Gary (Jill) Hopkinson, Jr., Cindy McGowan and Michael (Karen) Hopkinson; grandchildren, Tasha Hopkinson, Seth (Lykala) Hopkinson, Katie McGowan, Jacob (Leslie) McGowan, Jeremiah (Sam) McGowan, Joe (Ashley) McGowan, Ashley (Nick) DeLeon, Josh (Kennedy) Hopkinson, and Tyler Hopkinson; great-grandchildren, Harper Hopkinson, Jaziaa Thompson, Jaelyn Thompson, Vanessa McGowan, Xavier Hopkinson, Kenlee McGowan, Joey McGowan, Brand DeLeon and Sutton DeLeon.

Per Gary's request there will be no visitation or services.
