Fred "Junior" Robinson, a beloved soul and cornerstone of his family, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 69. Born on April 24, 1956, in Morehouse, Missouri, Fred carried with him a warmth and kindness that endeared him to everyone he met.
From a young age, Fred was known for his loving nature and generous spirit. He was a man who showed kindness to strangers and always extended a helping hand to those in need. His laughter resonated through gatherings, contributing to a delightful atmosphere filled with joy and camaraderie. Those who knew him best would describe Fred as kindhearted and genuine, always respectful, and deeply devoted to his family.
Fred found immense pride in being surrounded by his family, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was a loving father to his four children: Lamar Antwan Robinson, Tehran Robinson, Cherie Robinson, and Lance Robinson. His love extended beyond his immediate family to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored and delighted in spoiling. He also shared close bonds with his sisters Linda Jones, Mary Ann Robinson, Augusta Robinson, Rosie Robinson, Loretta Franklin, and Sylvia Jones, as well as his brother Henry Robinson. They provided a strong support system and shared countless memories that they will carry in their hearts.
In addition to his deep familial connections, Fred enjoyed working on cars and lent his expertise to help family members, reflecting his willingness to put others before himself. Whether he was tinkering in the garage or engaging in heartfelt conversations, he made every moment count.
Fred's legacy is enriched by the memories shared with his family and friends, as well as the cherished moments that spanned across generations. His absence will be felt deeply, particularly among those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wille Mae McDonald; father, Fred Robinson Sr.; brother, Ray Lee Charles Robinson; sister, Eloise "Loise" Robinson; sister, Brenda Robinson; and brother-in-law, Pete Flowers.
Fred's journey on this earth was marked by profound love, laughter, and respect, and he has left behind a legacy that will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew him. His family and friends are invited to celebrate his life with a visitation on July 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM. The services will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania, located at 3655 King Rd, Toledo, Ohio. Fred will then be laid to rest at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
