Ethel Rose Bodi

Ethel Rose Bodi, aged 93, peacefully passed away at her home in Toledo on Friday, October 23, 2026. Born on December 5, 1932, to Eli and Clara Crabb in Toledo, Ethel shared a life filled with love and dedication.

She married Richard Bodi, with whom she lovingly raised their family until his passing in August 1976. A devoted member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ethel found joy in gardening and cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Ethel leaves behind her daughter, Susan R. Schick, her grandsons, Matthew (Becky) Schick and Joshua Schick, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Ava, and Trevor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Clara Crabb, her husband, Richard Bodi, and her children, Mary and Michael Bodi.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio 43614. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. In remembrance of Ethel, donations can be made to the Toledo Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Children’s, or a charity of choice.
