Eric L. Gray

Eric L. Gray of Toledo, age 59, passed away on October 24, 2026. He was born on August 24, 1967 to parents David E. Gray and Shirley Gibson.

Eric graduated from Roy C. Start High School in 1985. After graduating, he pursued his passion of tinkering and repairing. He enjoyed home improvement work and took pride in the variety of work he could do.

In his free time, Eric loved being outdoors. He loved to take his boat out and fish the day away whenever he got the chance. At home, his garden was his sanctuary and it showed. The flowers and fruit that he grew were always so beautiful. He also took great joy in his koi pond that he installed in his back yard. In particular he had a koi fish with a skull on its head that he lovingly named Skeletor. Eric had a soft spot for animals, especially the stray cats in his area. He made sure they always had something to eat and shelter for bad weather.

Eric is survived by his daughter Samantha Gray; his brother David T. Gray; step-sister Dawn Gibson; and nieces Emily and Grace Gray.

Eric is preceded by his wife Stacey Gray and his parents.

Eric will be remembered for his free spirit, kindness, and ingenuity. He will be missed by those who knew him.
