Elder M.C. Mister known as (Mack) was born September 19, 1937 in Grenada, Mississippi to Orlando and Luella Mister. He departed from this life unexpectedly on December 22, 2023. He attended Central High School in Hayti, MO, graduating in 1958. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Toledo, OH, where he met and married the love of his life, Margie (Cummings) Mister, with whom he spent 58 loving years. Together, they raised four beautiful daughters, Anita, Marita, Alecha, and Melissa. While building a life with his lovely family, M.C. decided to continue his desire to learn and received two associate degrees in business management and engineering while working full-time at the Wonder Bread Factory.
M.C. accepted Christ in 1970. He became a Deacon and after many years of serving he accepted his calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He became an ordained elder and served as assistant pastor of New Covenant Church until his health declined.
M.C. retired from T.A.R.T.A in 2000. He enjoyed playing the piano, participating in bus driving rodeos, attending classic car shows and building model trains. As a devoted husband and father, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
M.C. was preceded in death by parents, Orlando and Luella Mister; step mother, Callie Mister and brother, David Starks.
M.C leaves to cherish his memory wife, Margie Mister; children, Anita (Quincy)Hammond , Marita, Alecha and Melissa; grandchildren, Antwoine (Asia), Anthony (Jalana), Breda, Kalonna, Quinsey , M'CaiLa, Taris; 5 great grandchildren; sisters/brother; Erma D. Brown, Robert W., Alberta Self, Evang. Maggie (William) Atkinson, Barbara R. Lewis, Maurice A., Carol L, Donald A., Manzell O., and Sheila; Goddaughter Eld. Vanessa Thornton, Godson Hardy Thornton, special niece, and nephew; Dawn and Chad; with a host of nieces and nephews and many other relative and friends.

Family and friends may visit at New Covenant Church of the Living God, 2519 Stickney Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43608, on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. M.C. will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 9:30 am, at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, where military honors will take place.
