Edward S. Drahan

Edward S. Drahan, lovingly known to many as "Eddie," passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Born on July 13, 1953, Edward’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and an unwavering energy that touched everyone who knew him.

A proud graduate of Libby High School, Edward dedicated many years of his career to Disalle Plating & Die Casting Co., where his diligence and reliability left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his work, Edward was known for his warm personality, he was fun, loving, and always full of life. Those who had the joy of spending time with him remember him as a good listener, someone who could provide comfort simply by being present.

Edward’s passions were as diverse as his character. He found joy in woodworking, honing his skills with care and patience. His love for Star Trek and watching sports brought him countless hours of happiness, often shared with the people he treasured most. Above all else, Edward’s proudest accomplishment was his family; he cherished every moment spent with them, finding particular delight in taking his nieces to the park and caring for them after school with a gentle, protective spirit.

Born and raised in Toledo, Edward was a cornerstone of his extended family. He is survived by his beloved siblings Kasmir-Mat (Kathy) Drahan, Kathy (Randall) Tredway, Barbie Drahan, Stanley Drahan, and Susan Drahan. He also leaves behind a loving group of nieces and nephews: Carrie Cusino, Stephanie Jay, Marcie Drahan, Jennifer (Aaron) McLuckie, Josephine Tredway, MacKenzie Drahan, Jessica Tredway, Victoria (Casey) Scarnati, along with seven great-nieces and nephews and two great-great niece and nephew, each carrying forward a piece of Eddie’s generous spirit. Edward was predeceased by his beloved parents, Stephanie and Jan Drahan, and his brothers Joseph and Anthony Drahan, who remain close in memory.

Friends and family will gather to honor Edward’s life on June 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623. This memorial gathering will serve as a time for reflection, remembrance, and celebration of a life well lived.

Edward S. Drahan’s legacy is one marked by kindness, dedication, and an open heart. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of his laughter, his love, and the simple moments shared will forever remain a treasure to all who knew him.
