Edward Charles Conley, affectionately known as "Chuckie" or "Ed," passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 26, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, Edward was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who spread joy and laughter to all those fortunate enough to know him.
Edward's career as a painter in the construction industry was marked not only by his skill but also by his unyielding spirit to help others. He often went out of his way to lend a hand to anyone in need, embodying a sweet and compassionate personality that endeared him to many. Edward proudly served 20 years of active duty as a Ranger in the military, participating in the Gulf War and serving in Iraq and Korea while being part of the esteemed 101st Airborne Division.
Edward had a vibrant personality that brought a great sense of humor to those around him. His infectious laughter and ability to lighten the mood with jokes made him a beloved figure among family and friends. He was known for his candidness, speaking his mind while swiftly transitioning back to banter and cheerfulness.
In his later years, Edward devoted himself to his loving wife, Kendra Conley, whom he married on March 5, 2018. Their bond was profound, and he cherished singing to her at any time, even in the middle of the night. Edward was also lovingly referred to as "Papa Ed" by his grandchildren, along with other affectionate nicknames such as "Koolaid", "Silver Fox", and "Big Daddy."
Edward's hobbies and interests were rich and varied; he loved traveling, indulged in karaoke, and was an ardent fan of both the Ohio State University and the Dallas Cowboys. Fishing was not just a pastime for Edward, but his life’s passion, and he enjoyed playing basketball during his high school years.
One of Edward's proudest accomplishments was earning a culinary degree, in which his specialty was BBQ. His culinary talents brought family and friends together in joyous gatherings, where food was not just nourishment but a reason for celebration and connection.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Kendra Conley; children Jonathon Kynard, Jarett Conley, Jose Conley, Zeylen Payton and bonus children Rhondie Brandon (Ronald Carpenter), Jerronn McIntosh, Mujahhedn Mustafaa (Miracle), and Mekyaela Fears.
