Earnest T. Lewis

Earnest T. Lewis (Squirt) started his life journey on January 22, 1971 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. He was born to Sammie and Doris Lewis. Earnest lived most of his life in Toledo, Ohio after leaving Mississippi at a young age.

Earnest attended Toledo Public School where he eventually received his GED.

Earnest was a self taught auto mechanic with help from his dad and many uncles. He worked many jobs as a mechanic. He loved getting his hands dirty. Earnest was always there with a helping hand if anyone needed it. If you knew Squirt you knew all he wanted was his cigarettes, a new lighter all the time, and his spicy noodles.

Earnest (Squirt) was preceded in death by his father Sammie Lewis Sr, brother Nathaniel Lewis, and sister Shelia Scott.

Earnest leaves to cherish his mom Doris Lewis, his brothers Sammie Lewis Jr. (Dana), Rodney Lewis (Marlena), nieces: Danielle Lewis, Karina Middlebrooks, Selena Lewis, Kaliyah Lewis, Janice Middlebrooks, nephews: Darius Lewis, Davon Lewis, Antonio Fench, Nathaniel Lewis Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Friends and family will be received at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio 43614 on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM.
